Kaminario 'stores' away $53M to take on the flash storage market 

OC_logo_squareIsraeli solid state drive (SSD) data storage provider Kaminario has raised $53 million. Founded in 2008, Kaminario is currently registered in Newton, Massachusetts, and has its development center in Yokneam, Israel. The company has developed software for managing organizational storage systems based on flash memory. The current round will help accelerate Kaminario's growth, and expand its sales and marketing setup and its support for the Kaminario K2 flash storage solution. Israel ranked 1st on 'Top 10 Countries with Cleantech Innovators' index

OC_logo_squareEach year, the Cleantech Group, the World Wildlife Foundation, and the The Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth release their Global Cleantech Innovation Index, in which 40 countries are examined for their potential for entrepreneurial clean tech startups. The report takes a 10-year look down the line and ranks each country on a basis of 15 different indicators. To no one's great surprise, Israel remains the reigning leader of the cleantech industry and once more ranked 1st place. To read more about the top 10 countriesclick here

For its ninth Nobel Prize, Bell Labs counts on Israeli tech

Over the years, Bell Labs has won eight Nobel Prizes – more than any other tech lab – and Marcus Weldon, the current president of Bell Labs, fully expects the organization to win a ninth, based on the work that will be done by its new Israel location.
